Welcome to Monte Vista Elementary!

Monte Vista has a long history of excellence in educating our students. Our beautiful campus houses amazing teachers who work hard to make all students feel confident in their learning and to reach their fullest potential.  I am excited to be a part of the Monte Vista community at a time when we are developing our signature program of Arts Integration.

We are taking the time we need to ensure that our journey through the arts honors the culture, climate, and needs of our Monte Vista families.  Following the Kennedy Center model, Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA), Monte Vista is working toward the implementation of the CETA definition of integration as teaching that promotes the construction and demonstration of understanding through the arts. Our focus on creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking will promote our students' academic growth and achievement, preparing them for high school, college, and beyond.

As we embark on this endeavor, we will continue to be mindful of our long tradition of excellence and community.  I look forward to traveling with you on this journey as we make the Arts come alive at Monte Vista Elementary!
